We shouldn't need something like a screen free week to remind us of the importance of connecting, on a daily basis, with our families. That is why I've come to the conclusion, based on our experiences during the week, that setting the screens aside for certain times of the day/night are a must-do. The allure is so great, however that it has become a game of will power. As you say, let me check my email one last time just in case.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11994116033556993440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5769449254669850193.post-50797374214884995102011-04-29T00:53:52.106-05:002011-04-29T00:53:52.106-05:00Great post - and so true...look at me now..on my s...Great post - and so true...look at me now..on my screen when I should be sleeping! but you know...one last email check "just incase" so that I can rest easy.

When you have a good thing going...keep it going. Saying "NO" isn't easy so sticking to your original plan is really the only way to go.

I had no clue there was a screen free week happening...although the concept is fabulous and certainly one I'm up for trying - if for nothing else than the feeling of freedom to NOT feel obligated to 'check in'. Why do I need an excuse or 'rule' such as "screen free" time/week/day...so that I remember that its only the illusion of a priority but that face time and connecting with the kids/husband/family is the real one.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
