I am a teacher who continuously strives to improve her practice. Therefore, I am always becoming a teacher.
I blog because I want to connect with others and get feedback on what I post; I learn more this way. That's why my blog is called "A Teacher's Ruminations". My posts reveal my current thinking on a variety of educational and classroom topics. By blogging I make them public. I invite push back, affirmations, questions and for visitors to otherwise engage with me as I think through typical, and not-so-typical, teaching and school scenarios.
Blogging exposes me to the world and allows me to engage in conversations with others. This makes me accountable to my ideas and allows me to revise them through comments from others. Therefore, I would love to connect with other educators at all levels - teachers, administrators, parents, students, and other interested community members.
My goal for 2016 is to increase the commenters on my blog so that there is an ongoing conversation every time I post. One way to accomplish this is to determine a schedule for posting and to stick to my plan, join blogging challenges, connect with others on Twitter, and leave comments on others' blogs.
