We don't have to worry about shoveling snow
or
trekking to work in the snow
or
driving in the snow.
Yet...
It is freezing!
It rains every day.
I haven't seen the sun in what feels like weeks.
We've had indoor recess several times this year already.
So what's normal for this time of the year?
Although it does rain, we do have many sunny days
and
some of them are even warm.
This is the coldest winter I've spent in Ecuador in all of the years I've lived here.
Which begs the question.
Is it due to global warming? Climate change?
Why is this happening all of a sudden?
No answers.
Just wondering.
In the meantime, I am wearing layers at school and at home.
Hoping to stay warm.
Hoping it will get warm again, soon.
